Nahant Beach Reservation, Nahant, $
Nahant's 'Long Beach' is an easy drive from most spots around Boston. You'll find ample parking ($3 for whole day) and tons of space on the beach. More importantly, the sand is soft, the water is very shallow for a great distance, and there's a lifegaurd.

Nara Park & Swim Area, Acton, $$
NARA Park is a relatively new park which was opened just six years ago off Rt. 27 in Acton, MA. NARA Park is open to the public year round. This is a beautiful place to your family.
