About Still River Outfitters:
Still River Outfitters, Inc. was formed simply because Karen, John and myself all love to be out paddling with our friends and families. We think you'll love to be out there on the water too, so we're striving to make paddling as easy as possible and more fun that you ever thought imaginable.
I bought my first canoe when I graduated high school. Years later that little blue canoe helped me meet Karen and we've been paddling together ever since. Now married for almost 6 years and with three small children (Ryan, Holly and Nicholas) our love of the outdoors and paddling, now as a family, has not subsided. All of the kids have been hanging out in various canoes and kayaks since they could wear a PFD. John's initiation to padding was getting dumped into a cold Vermont River many Aprils ago when John zigged and I zagged as we approached a wave in some whitewater. Karen and a friend pulled John and I out of the water and we sat shivering on the riverbank for a while laughing. John got back in the boat and hasn't stopped paddling since. That's the thing about paddling, once you try it, the water draws you in and you can't stop.
Great Brook Farms Partnership:
We are pleased to announce a relationship with Great Brook Farms of Bolton to offer you a more comprehensive adventure package. All of our guided and self-guided trips will depart from Great Brook Farms on Route 117 in Bolton (1 mile East from I 495). You'll also now be able to add picnic lunches and snack packs from the Café at Great Brook Farms directly through Still River Outfitters to your trip.
