Yoga is a fantastic way for children 3 and up with any and all abilities to begin learning about movement, physical, mental and emotional health.

The mission of be as you are yoga is to introduce children to all components of yoga-poses, breath work, meditation/visualization, observances such as non-violence, and self study - and have the components become their own therefore being able to generalize information learned and draw on that knowledge to help lead a healthy life.

Jennifer Gorgone has been teaching yoga to children since 1997. While working as a teacher in public and private schools, Jennifer was able to see first hand the amazing benefits that yoga had on her students.

Inspired by the physical, mental and emotional growth in the students she taught, Jennifer founded be as you are yoga. She brings yoga to children of all ages and abilities to help children be healthy, reduce their stress, focus their energy, manage their own behavior and increase their self-esteem through fun and noncompetitive means.

Jennifer brings to her classes compassion, love, patience, and a focus on connectedness to each other and the world around us.

In addition to being a yoga facilitator for children ages 3 and older, Jennifer is also a Massachusetts Certified Elementary School Teacher, Teacher for Children who are Deaf and Teacher for Children with Special Needs.
