There is really something for everyone here. Zero-entry depth wading pool with slides to thrill the toddler/young preschool set. Water depths run from zero to 2.6 feet in most areas. Glad I Didn't Listen To The Bad Reviews!, Wed 24 Feb 2010
We just returned from 3 days and 2 nights and I am giving this hotel/resort 4 stars...The rooms are clean, the staff is courteous, the food is great...the water park is GREAT, especially for kids ages 2-10! The lifeguards were attentive, friendly and enjoy their jobs...the water park is clean, the restrooms are clean. There was no pushing or shoving as stated in other comments, everyone was orderly and polite. Our room in the hotel was much nicer than I expected from the other reviews, which again, I am glad I ignored! While walking in the halls, out the door, etc...if we had bumped into an employee, they always asked if we were enjoying our stay, if we needed anything and they ALWAYS had a smile on their faces! Whatever we asked for, extra towels, etc...were in our room in a matter of minutes. Employees also advised us of things to do nearby, places to eat, and a mall...that includes a Chuck E Cheese. We definitely plan on visiting again, whether it be once, twice a year or more! It was fantastic to 'escape' the New England winter with a piece of paradise! Thank you to all of the staff who made our stay so pleasurable!

Water park itself is great. Changing room is tiny and lockers are small. Food service was very slow, quality OK. Hotel was nice and clean, but overbooked. We got finally our room (at 5:00pm) but others were not as lucky.

13 of us went. It was an xmas gift for my nieces, nephews and kids ranging in age from 6-9. Staff was on top of things and courteous. I was a bit leary with it being school vacations but it was not over crowded and the kids did not have to wait in long lines at all. The outdoor hot tub was awesome as it was snowing out. There was an 'accident' in the little kids section but it was handling accurately and immediately. Wish there was more selection of food and they did need reminders that we did not get our food but it was not too bad. The kids had a ball and did not want to leave despite being there all day long! Will definately go again! It was worth the money and the memories will last a lifetime!

I almost didn't go. I had read bad reviews about this place but needed a place to go with some pre teen boys one day. I did the twilight ticket, with a promotion code. Made it more affordable. Maybe the day we went was slow but there was plenty of parking, only a small line at the desk, and things moved smoothly in the park itself. The lifeguards were incredibly diligent. The bathrooms were okay - nothing like I'd read. So whatever changes management made since it opened and got bad reviews, it worked. The crowd was a good crowd. There didn't seem to be any trouble, or any groups of kids that were troublemakers. People seemed respectful of each other. The boys with me enjoyed it. We'd go again.

On Good Friday, 2009, I took my 2 teenage nephews, 1 teenage neice and 6 year old neice to the Fitchburg Coco Keys-this was my christmas gift to the kids - a day out on the town without their parents. The courtepous staff checked us in in a very quick and effecient manner and upon entrance to the water park, I was extremely impressed - the facility was immaculate - water pristinely clean and an abundance of staff that keep any rough housing at bay, without impeding on the kids fun Lunch was great- the diverse menus offered pleased everyone, as well as being an affordable option for families Be sure to bring your childs latest report card or progressive report-- the kids were pleasantly surprised by a $10 arcade gift card, given to each child by the Coco Keys Resort, recognizing their efforts in school I was concerned prior to going that the older kids may not be as entertained as my 6 year old neice, but all had such a blast that Coco Keys that this will be our selected destination for future trips of unlimited fun!
They Are Improving!, Sun 15 Mar 2009
My family visited the resort on Monday, Feb 23rd and were there for opening. Reception handled the surge of people very handily and customers queued up for a short 5 minute wait at the entry doors. Bathrooms were clean at the start of the day and still decent at 2PM when we exited. Lockers were available. Shower water was as hot as desired, towels plentiful. Parrot's Perch and the River were closed at opening 'a problem with chemicals' but opened at 11AM. They had a hard time keeping them open though because of baby 'accidents' wherein people didn't have their babies in swim diapers. This closed these areas TWICE more. Yes it's not purely the fault of the facility that people aren't following the rules, but it IS the responsibility of management to keep the areas from shutting down. If that means a 'nappy inspection station' or something similar, then perhaps that's what will have to happen. There are height requirements for the rides. Measure the kids and plan accordingly. 48 inches for the tube slides - Barracuda Blast & Pelican Plunge 42 inches for the body slide - Shark Slam (they advertise a third 36 inches for the smaller (Parrot's Perch) slides - This wasn't not really enforced. Lunch time was broken. The Pizza Hut/A&W was MOBBED and understaffed. We anticipated the rush and only had to wait 45 minutes for our burgers while the folks caught in the rush waited TWICE that. Prices were resort costly, a family of 4 was about $50 for light lunch, food quality was average. Wholly missing from the dining experience was * Pizza * and *Root Beer Floats * which is a shame as I was building the kids up for those floats... Management MUST know that this fails to serve the customers. And why they'd flub so badly on a cash cow/profit center is a real head scratch. Here's the corporate take on food 'Because CoCo Key Water Resort is concerned about your safety, glass containers, coolers, ice chests as well as food and beverages of any kind are not permitted inside the park.' Now I don't see how bringing a sandwich and a bag of chips from home is going to imperil anyone's safety. It might endanger Coco's ability to sell burgers. I'd say that dropping the policy against outside food would be a smart move until the food service actually functions properly. And when/if the policy would go back into effect, drop the line about our safety. Customers know VERY WELL why outside food is not allowed. After the third close down of the Parrot's Perch, we decided to call it a day since our little ones primarily playing there. We visited the arcade and played the games. Fun machines, but impressively bad design that made it hard to keep track of children and the games are spread out across a hall and in another room down the hall. It's like they didn't hire someone to plan this, just did it themselves. Well arcade games are still good for kids irrespective of the bad floor-plan. Visiting an indoor water park in the frost and snow season was a great novelty. We'll probably visit again, but will certainly pack our own lunches irrespective of the 'safety rules' prohibiting outside food. Management seems like they are trying to address the problems, I chatted with them, they do get it. But there are many problems with this new and somewhat over-compact facility that they are just getting a handle on. Not an easy business, but I bet they'll muddle through and create a fun water experience. Tips: * Bring a waterproof camera to capture the fun. * Friday/Saturday/Sunday admission is about twice Mon-Thursday. $39 for weekend or $20 for midweek day. Yes, hours are shorter midweek but do you really want to be in the water longer than 5 hours? * When you bring the kids make sure you do this to get a free $10 Arcade card * http://www.cocokeywaterresort.com/Locations/fitchburg/play/fun-stuff/rewards-kids.aspxDespite what the rule trolls say about bringing food/drink from outside, CoCo Fitchburg's in-park food service is too broken to use. I'd ignore them and bring foods from home that are compatible with your 'food allergy' or vegan lifestyle. * Bring as little extra stuff as possible into the park since their lockers ($5 bucks to rent) are pretty small. * Find a table early and park your gear there early. We chose the upper deck as it's quieter. Also make this your 'I'm lost' spot. * There is another location in Danvers, MA that I've visited. It's 10,000 sq feet larger and we liked it better. For sale at that location is a 'play-date pass' which is a weekday 10AM - 1PM admission for $15 bucks. Coco doesn't seem to care if you stay longer since the bands are identical to the regular admission. My small son and I got 8 hours of waterlogged fun on a play-date pass at Danvers. A BLAST!
CoCo Key Indoor Water Resort-a Filthy Place, Mon 9 Mar 2009
We went to CoCo Key on day passes on February 27, I will never go again, the place is simply filthy, filthy meaning urine and feces all over the floor in the womens room, smelly, and very unhygenic. 45 minutes waiting in line to get terribly overpriced pizza and soda, 45 minutes waiting in line to get into the place even though we allready had tickets. Really too bad, because the water park attractions themselves were a lot of fun, and my grandchildren loved it, but they are too young to care about the very unsanitary conditions.
A BLAST! And The Hotel Staff Was Wonderful!!, Sat 7 Feb 2009
Hi everyone .. evidently the changes they've made have worked. We JUST got back from there and had a fantastic time. Now, if you're looking for the Taj Mahal, don't bother. But if you're looking for a LOT of fun for your family, a nice room to stay in and nice staff, here's the place. We got there around 4:00 on Friday afternoon and had no problems checking in. We got our room right away and were able to go to the room to change. Then we went to the water park and stayed until 9:00. Weeknights seem to be the best time to go because it was much less crowded than on Saturday (although Saturday wasn't bad either!). The water park was a lot of fun. The indoor-outdoor spa was VERY nice. The kids with us were 4, 10, 11 and 12. The older three loved the three waterslides. The youngest one spent most of his time in the parrot's perch. EVERYONE loved the lazy river and the basketball pool. We expected the fast foods that were there and expected the price (when have you ever been to an amusement or water park where the food prices WEREN'T high?). The lines to get food were long at noontime, but by 1:00 they were fine. There are flat screen televisions all over the place playing anything from sports to cartoons, not to mention the big screen playing 'Robots'. As said, it was more crowded on Saturday, but not overly. And everyone was very courteous. There was no problems with the lifeguards 'whistling to get each other's attention' as another review mentioned. the only time we heard the whistles was when they were trying to stop someone from doing something wrong. We did have a few small problems, but the hotel staff was wonderful about them! There was a problem with the TV when we got to the room and because they could not fix it, they gave all four of us breakfast the next day. No big deal because we were exhausted from the fun we had at the park. The room was very nice, VERY clean and Beds were comfortable. Just before we checked out, the toilet backed up a bit (nothing major). We told the staff at the checkout and the compensated us for my sister-in-law's family's breakfast as well (we had charged it to our room). EVERY time we saw a staff person in the hallway they asked if everything was OK and if we needed anything. They were wonderful. The arcade was a lot of fun as well. We will DEFINITELY go back again. It was a great summer get away in the middle of all of this snow.

Thank you for this feedback. Rest assured that we are working diligently to earn back your confidence and educate the public about our facility. Here’s some of what we’ve been doing: • Temperature issues- We have had mechanical issues with our heat recovery units. This is currently being resolved and our temperatures are now consistently more comfortable. • Lack of available towels- We did experience an issue with our industrial size towel dryer hindering our ability to provide guests with towels during a busy weekend. This issue has been resolved. • The long waits for pre-paid water resort tickets- We have added directional signage to the front lobby and we now have dedicated lines for pre-paid tickets to assist in expediting the entry process. • Over-crowded resort- We have lowered the maximum number of guests able to purchase tickets to less than our capacity. Our goal is to limit the number of people in the our resort so we may provide a better guest experience. • Hotel Check-In Issues - We are working to streamline the check-in process. In the near future, an additional check-in area in the water resort lobby will assist us with assigning rooms for our packages in a more timely fashion. • Long waits at the food outlets- We are creating a 'lighter fare' menu prepared by our hotel Bistro that will be available at the Wet Rooster bar and Grill in the water park. This will create additional dining options for families as well and reduce the lines for A&W and Pizza Hut. • Rest Room/Locker Room Issues – We have increased the number of times our cleaning staff monitors the men’s and women’s locker rooms, as well as the rest rooms. And please notify guest services if there are issues with the restrooms/locker rooms so we can respond immediately. Again, we appreciate your comments and your feedback. We take all of it very seriously and we remain committed to the health, safety and comfort of all of our guests. Thank you.

I was very unhappy with my experience at this resort for a variety of reasons. It took 1 hour just to get into the resort, because there was only one person at the desk to handle a long line of people waiting to get in. And I already had tickets! Inside was incredibly crowded, chaotic and loud. There is one ladies changing room that has three changing stalls and three showers. Imagine the competition with hundreds of women trying to use the facility! There are insufficient lockers and 'cubbies' for storing ones things so there were piles of peoples' belongings everywhere. There were insufficient tables and chairs for people to sit down. The 'lazy river' was so crowded that it was more like bumper cars than floating in the water. And there's only one very small pool for actually swimming! Waiting in line on the stairs to reach the water slides was unpleasant and dangerous. People with floats cutting and squeezing to get to the head of the line meant bumping into others who had nothing to hold onto. Just a matter of time before someone takes a nasty spill down the stairs. You should try to separate the access to each of these slides so people will be a bit more orderly. And provide more hand railings! I left after an hour. I was glad that I only paid $20 for each of our tickets (it was a fund-raising event). I would have been even more annoyed if I had paid full price.
