At Beaver, the goal of the summer program is to help each camper's self-confidence and respect for others while they make friends and, above all, have fun.

Beaver's summer co-ed day programs develop children's skills in order to enhance their understanding of their capabilities and sense of independence. A professional and caring staff creates a safe, structured and stimulating environment that sparks children's excitement about exploring new possibilities. By participating in an experience where fun and learning go hand-in-hand, youngsters tap into their own natural enthusiasm and sense of wonder.

Programs Include:
Thrilled-to-be-Three
Ages 3-4
Hours: 9:00 am to 1:30 pm

Lower Camp

Middle Camp

Beaver Summer Programs, Thu 1 Dec 2005

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! Beaver is one of Boston's best kept secrets! I came upon the negative review on this site and I had to take a moment to set the record straight. Beaver's staff and programming are attentive, approachable, caring, and fun! Makes me wish I was 8 years old again, so I could go instead of my daughter.

Beaver Summer Programs, Tue 18 Oct 2005

My three children have been going to Beaver for going on four summers. I have found no camp in the Boston area that can hold a light to the diversity in programming and professional approach that Beaver offers its campers and their families. Each summer my children eagerly count down the weeks until they get to return to Beaver. With a large amount of returning staff/campers, there is truly a sense of community. My youngest son was fortunate to have the same male counselor in Middle camp for two summers in a row. This counselor went above and beyond to make my son feel that he was truly a member of the group, and he is talked about on a regular basis throughout the year. I always feel that I can easily communicate questions and concerns with my camper’s counselors, and the office is friendly and approachable. I could not be more pleased with my experiences at beaver, and am looking forward to another great summer in 06

Beaver Summer Programs is not a safe place for kids. Supervision is poor, ratio is too high, counselors are very young, aquatics staff are not good role model. Food is nauseating, there is no team building or helping campers build self esteem. Counselors are always screaming, playground is not safe. The nurses are good, the camp directors are alright, the outdoor education is great. Overall, I do not recommend this particular summer camp to anyone.
