Known as The Mrs. Astor, she was the creator of the first American social register, 'The 400,' and the mother of John Jacob Astor IV, who died on the RMS Titanic.
Today, this privately owned mansion is host to weddings, private celebrations, Victorian Balls, and other special events by night and home to a Victorian Living History Museum by day. Step back to the Victorian Era of Newport with the guests & servants of Mrs. Astor, the Queen of American Society.
Beechwood offers Newport's only Living History tour guided by members of the Beechwood Theatre Company who recreate the lifestyle of Newport's vivid Victorian past.
