The Museum's permanent collection is particularly strong in American 19th- and 20- century paintings, European and American prints, contemporary painting (especially of Boston-area artists) and New England photography.
Art Classes & Workshops for Alll Ages
The Danforth Museum also offers year-round, hands-on art classes for every age. Choose from introductory and advanced courses in drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, weaving, photography, and calligraphy taught by professional, certified art educators.
The Museum offers drop-in activities, school vacation programs and camps, too. The Museum even offers birthday parites!
