By sharing the artistic expressions of our diverse cultures, and encouraging innovation and collaboration among traditional artists from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, we learn to explore and define our own cultural identity while gaining an appreciation and respect for the cultural heritage of others.

Founded in 2000 by Deborah Hawkins, Springstep is the culmination of a long hoped for and shared vision of a dedicated space for the celebration of world traditions; a space where people can gather to create and exchange artistic energy and celebrate their cultural heritage and traditional art forms. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, our programs depend on community support from individuals, corporations and foundations.

Springstep offers a wide variety of creative classes for all ages. Every member of the family can learn from and enjoy the workshops, concerts, and classes that are presented. A one of a kind experience! A great way to introduce your kids and family to music, culture, dance, and art!
