Murphy Playground Cashman Park, located within walking distance of downtown Newburyport, is a beautiful, recently-updated playground that is especially well-suited to families with children of varying ages. The waterfront park has sports fields and courts, as well as a jungle gym that is perfect for younger toddlers.
Older children will enjoy the open fields, tennis and basketball courts, and soccer and softball fields. The park also has a boat ramp, which is available to the public.
Cashman Park is just north of the Route 1 bridge in Newburyport, on Merrimac Street.
