CLOSED: American Textile History Museum School & Group Progr
The American Textile History Museum's educational programs help students connect to America’s diverse textile heritage.
School Age Programs at the Museum
Threads of Learning is a series of interactive school programs that help tell America’s textile story utilizing the Museum’s extensive collections and expertise. All programs address specific curriculum standards with age-appropriate activities, and are designed to complement and enhance classroom learning.
Traveling Textiles Programs at Your Location
Programs are available year round and designed to be presented in individual classrooms (or other facility) with up to 30 students/participants per lesson.
Home School Programs
The Museum welcomes home schoolers to consider scheduling any of our educational programs that complement your home school curriculum. We can adapt most programs to serve smaller groups with an age-range of students. We also have onsite play areas at the Museum to occupy youngsters not participating in a program while their siblings are.
Mini-programs and Custom-made Programs
The Education Department offers a series of 1-hour Mini-Programs that feature making a craft item in an educational framework, with an emphasis on FUN. These can be brought to you off-site at your location, or schedule one at the Museum and combine it with free access to our core and special exhibits that day.
We can also create 1-hour programs that are Custom-Made to suit the special interests or requirements of your group.
Any of these programs can be included as part of your ATHM Birthday Party plans.
