Is your child crazy about sealife? The Seacoast Science Center features a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that focus on the fascinating features of coastal New Hampshire. Open year-round, the center features local marine and history exhibits, a 330-acre park, walking tours, workshops, and aquarium displays.

For a very small admission fee (ranging from $0-3), children can touch live starfish and sea urchins in the touch tanks, participate in arts & craft activities, learn about lots of marine-related topics (from turtles to lobstering), and watch live fish swim in their tanks.

In addition to indoor exhibits and outdoor explorations, the Center offers a variety of programs for children of all ages. Marine and coastal science programs are available for school field trips; Seaside Safari summer camp and vacation day camps are offered to students from kindergarten to 8th grade; and discovery programs are tailored to toddlers and preschool-aged children and their caregivers. From the Portsmouth Traffic Circle: Take Route 1 Bypass South to Beaches/Hampton. After 1 mile the road connects with Route 1 South. Follow Route 1 South approximately 1 mile. At the third traffic light, Elwyn Road will be on the left. Turn left on Elwyn Road, go past the Urban Forestry Center (on your left), then go approximately 1.3 miles to the stop sign at Foyes Corner. Go straight at the stop sign onto Route 1A South. Continue for 1.8 miles, over the wood bridge, past Odiorne boat launching ramp (on left), to the main entrance of Odiorne Point State Park (on left).
