The surrounding scenery, to be enjoyed on horseback or otherwise, includes rolling hills, old rock walls, ponds, streams, and deer in the forest. It is 'an open space to be enjoyed by all'!

Depending on the season, wagon and sleigh hayrides are available for parties, family outings and company gatherings. Each ride is approximately 1 hour long, carries up to 20 adults, and costs $150.

Lessons are offered every day except Tuesday, and prices range from $35 to $60 per lesson, depending on how many other riders are sharing the cost. Beginning to advanced lessons are available, and lessons may be held indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather.

Scenic, guided trail rides are offered on over 2,000 acres of land. Trail rides start at 9:00 am and leave on the hour for an hour each, and they are offered by reservation. Enjoy the beauty of nature while riding Western-style on a horse that is tailored to your riding ability!

Trail Riding, Sun 6 May 2007

I recently took a group of boys age 8-11 on a trail ride at Bobby's Ranch, and we had a terrific time! I've been trail riding at a number of stables, and Bobby's is by far the most kid-friendly one I've visited. . They have a high ratio of guides to riders: we had 3 guides for 10 riders, and they use a lead line when needed. Everyone there is friendly, and the horses are good. Our trail went through scenic woodland and by a pond. When the ride was over, the boys all wanted to know if we could go again next weekend! (By the way, Bobby's Ranch is great for adults too -- I'm a very experienced rider and another another adult in our party had never been on a horse before, and we both enjoyed the ride tremendously.)
