There is really something for everyone here. Zero-entry depth wading pool with slides to thrill the toddler/young preschool set. Water depths run from zero to 2.6 feet in most areas. Deepest water is 3-4 feet. and that's only in the bigger kid sports pool, where you'll find basketball hoops and a challenging rope climb over 4 feet of water.

Plenty of vigilant lifeguards are also on hand to put parents' minds at ease.

  • Endless complimentary towels are available and foam life jackets are on hand for young kids, so that's a few less things to carry. We recommend bringing extra suits and cover ups - those come in handy if kids get cold after playing. Plenty of vigilant lifeguards are also on hand to put parents' minds at ease. I felt fine letting my 51/2 year old go off on her own in most areas.

Review Of Indoor Waterpark, Thu 11 Sep 2008

VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Key area was closed 'not enough staff' no restaurant except A&W/Pizza hut-all high fat, unhealthy food and snacks, no other place with fruit, slads, etc. That was also closed. No compensation for fewer activites available. Wouldn't go back!!

Coco Key REview, Tue 19 Aug 2008

I took 3 boys to Coco Resort for 1/2 day, 1 night and another 1/2 day and we all had a good time. The water park was great, and I recommend that you go here during the winter, just because it would be that much more fun. The hotel assistant was very helpful and nice and my kids thought he was the coollest! Once, the Day Spa and the Hair Salon are up and running it will be even better!

Keep Your Expectations Realistic And You Won't Be Disappointed, Sun 17 Aug 2008

We went for a little mini-vacation back in June. I had read about the mixed reviews on this site, but we decided to do it anyway. Let's start by saying what this is not. This is not Wisconsin Dells. This is not Great Wolf. But it is nowhere near as bad as some of the reviews here make it out to be. We came to the hotel on a Saturday afternoon after 2PM, played in the waterpark until closing at 9PM, then came back for a bit more the next day. This was perfect as it was significantly less crowded, and we pretty much had the place to ourselves in the evening. No problem with chlorine, and the pools were very clean. Food is pretty much non-existent. Go out the many local places in the area for dinner. While the hotel room was not terrific, it seemed clean and comfortable enough. All in all, not a bad experience, just relax and enjoy your time, and don't expect a luxurious experience..

Message From Coco Key Water Resort, Thu 1 May 2008

Thank you for this feedback. It is so important for us to fully understand what our customers experience at Coco Key and this information can only help us improve. Rest assured that we are working diligently to earn back your confidence and educate the public about our facility. Here’s some of what we’ve been doing: • We took a proactive approach to ensure that our attractions meet all health and safety codes by investing in state of the art technology. The new addition of an Ultra Violet (UV) sterilization system to all of our pools will greatly reduce the amount of chlorine and other chemicals in the water and in the atmosphere. This extra layer of safety ensures water quality is at its highest. • We exceed the local and state requirements by testing our pool water regularly and engaged a third party auditor to ensure the park is operating in compliance. • Our lifeguards receive the highest level of training and are licensed by Ellis Lifeguard Training. Each month, our lifeguards are required to complete 4-hours of additional in-service training to maintain a valid lifeguard license. • New signage is on display regarding showering before and after the use of our attractions. • We have instituted an increased presence by senior management in the Water Resort to enhance our guest’s experience. • Currently, the use of our hot tub spa is unavailable to guests and our policy on use, time and capacity will be modified and posted in the park. These rules are to ensure that our little guests are safe and that our older guests have a relaxing and enjoyable area in the water park. • We continue to work with Middleton health officials to monitor the safety of the Resort. Coco Key is the ultimate amenity of The Sheraton Ferncroft in Danvers. The Sheraton Ferncroft has just completed a multi-million dollar renovation. With 366 guest rooms and suites along with a fully equipped fitness center and Olympic size indoor swimming pool, the Ferncroft also features the Tradewinds Restaurant for casual, elegant dining, the Tradewinds Lounge for a cocktail and an intimate spot for relaxing as well as a new Starbucks to enjoy the best in coffees, lattes and espressos. Again, we appreciate your comments and your feedback. We take all of it very seriously. We have done a great deal of work on Coco Key and we remain committed to the health, safety and comfort of all of our guests. Thank you.

Our Horrible Experience Wknd Of March 29th 2008, Tue 1 Apr 2008

We came up from CT with a 5 families to spend a Sunday/Monday at this place (even pulling our kids out of school). We wrestled with going to Great Escape at Lake George NY but ultimately chose here, now we are very upset we chose CoCo Keys. Upon arrival Sunday, we were not allowed to check into our rooms until 5:15 pm (ridiculous). When we woke Monday to spend a full day at the park, we were surprised to find out that the park was closed. The staff was also pretty rude and uncaring of our dismay. Some of the kids, including myself have a rash now as well... The place is poorly laid out, dirty and poorly managed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Go to Great Escape Lodge in NY!!!!

Stay Away, Wed 26 Mar 2008

This water park was shut down by the state health department for over a week. The lifeguards are not trained to respond to an emergency. There are not enough lifeguards to watch the water. This park is dangerous and you should not go!!! Head to NH, NY, or PA. iF YOU LOVE YOUR KIDS AND DON'T WANT THEM HURT~~~~ STAY AWAY!!!!

Lack Of Response From Sheraton/ Chemical Overuse Neglectful.., Mon 24 Mar 2008

I am appalled that the Sheraton organization made absolutely no effort to contact people - mostly children -who were exposed to high levels of chlorine at COCO Keyes Danvers MA. We attended a friends birthday party fri. eve. mid Feb. Afterwards my daughter had a bad rash on her legs, she spent the entire evening/night coughing. I thought that she was coming down with a bad flu or something only to then discover the shocking neglectful overuse of chlorine at the childrens indoor water park and which she had been exposed to for hours that evening. People are not admitted to this water park, unless they are staying at the hotel or are part of a birthday party, event etc. so efforts by Sheraton if such an effort had been considered or undertaken, would have been quite a simple exercise to undertake, if childrens welfare and parents peace of mind had been considered throughout this whiole debaucle. Of course it was not considered or acted upon, to call parties affected by the overuse of chemicals, because we did not receive a call nor did anyone in our party - total of 25 or more children - equals 50 parents. I am very upset at your handling of this situation and lack of same in regard to this. I would hope that in the future your course of action would be different, children receiving burns because of overuse of chemicals by adults is appalling and negligent, but must be addressed immediately, to ignore the problem is to ignore the fact that children might be suffering from the affects of these chemicals, quite shameful by any standards. My daughter and her friends of course enjoyed the water park as they had in the past, however they coughed and choked in the hot tub, something I was unaware of until after the fact. Of course in light of the latest handling of the overuse of chemicals and exposure of such neglect and your lack of attention to the matter, we will not be having any more parties at COCO Keyes, I can assure you. Some questions: When was this issue brought to your attention, the overuse of chemicals, what action was taken and when, how much time elapsed before action was taken, and why did you not call those of us who had visited, immediately upon discovering that important information? Your handling of the situation has marred our opinion of your water park. An explanation would be appreciated. We had enjoyed COCO Keyes in the past, however if the people in charge are inept or incapable of doing their job correctly how can we return? Of course to submit this I must give a rating...while I do not wish to give one under the current situation.. in the past I would have given it a 3.1/2- 4 now I must give it a 1 because of the potential for injury to my child at your neglectful staffs hands.

Chemical Burns @ Coco Key, Mon 24 Mar 2008

Went with multiple families there and children (9 out of 11) received chemical burns all over their bodies...management of neither the resort nor the water park would not call us back or speak with us. The maintenance manager was kind enough to call back and just say our levels all check out despite the fact of what the parents of the children were telling him. He then offered a doctor and never produced one after we stayed up until 10:30 at nite waiting (children too!) Nightmare...

Playdate, Sat 22 Mar 2008

We were there on tuesday march 18. we went with a 18 month and a 3 year old. they both had a good time. It was hard to keep the 18month old warm even though my son was ok. almost need warmers somewhere. only 1 family changing area and was hard to keep the young kids coralled in the large changing area. some hooks in the large area would have been nice to hang stuff while we were getting changed. the food area was fine but there was only one girl serving the whole place so it took along time to get food. cant imagine what it is like on weekends.

Coco Key Is The Worst Place To Go For A Birthday Party, Wed 19 Mar 2008

The major part of the park is closed and the coco key administration fails to inform you of any closings so that when you arrive with your party of 15 eager children you then find out that an entire area is closed - which happens to be the part of the park that is most popular. Coco key should never have advertised that they were open. I was there today and the majority of the park is closed. The administration is rude and many customers today were very upset to find that their children's birthday party or vacation was ruined - without any apology or help from the staff there.

We make best efforts to update information, but it changes frequently, so we cannot warrant it. Please call to check CoCo Key Indoor Water Resort: Sheraton Ferncroft schedules, fees, and directions before making the trek. We help you, please help us. Report an Error if you find one.
