Veterans Memorial Swimming and Wading Pool is a great summer cooling spot with plenty of parking. Open 7 days a week from 11:30-5:30 in the summer. Change rooms/showers are available and lifeguards on duty. Playground nearby. Right on the Charles.
Both these venues are always packed with kids and families even during the weekdays. a nice alternative to frog pond.
