This 4-acre park is just a short walk to major hotels and restaurants, the train station and right across the street from the Providence Place Mall.
Romantic Venetian-style footbridges, cobblestone walkways, and an amphitheater encircling a tidal pond set the tone at this 4-acre tract, which has won national and international design awards. The Riverwalk passes the junction of three rivers -- the Woonasquatucket, Providence, and Moshassuck.
Waterfire
The dusk-to-midnight Waterfire attract 500,000 visitors annually and are held several times each year. The amphitheater hosts free concerts and plays.
Accessible by boat or car, gondola or on foot this is a place to see if you are sightseeing in Providence. Ask about upcoming events at the visitor information center, in the clock tower.
