Imagimotion Kidz is a developmentally based creative movement program for toddler through kindergarten children which stretches their imaginations through movement and music.

In this safe, fun environment they promote motor development, rhythmical skills, and positive self-esteem while encouraging exercise and fitness. All of the Imagimotion programs allow for and encourage differences in creative and imaginative interpretations.

There are three levels of programming:

Toddler Program:
At this age, the goal is to instill a love for music and movement. The classes guide the children in development and exploration of motor skills, body image, and positional concepts. Classes are 30 minutes.

Preschool Program :
The Imagimotion preschool program practices and refines the children's motor skills, body awareness and spatial concepts through movement and music. The varied activities provide opportunities for the children to imagine, explore, and discover. Classes are 30 minutes.

Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten Program:
The program continues to develop and strengthen motor and cognitive development. Creative opportunities are provided for the children to do problem solving and abstract thinking through movement, music, and games using the children's abundance of energy in fun, positive ways. This program is similar to an early elementary school gym class. Classes are 45 minutes.

Note: The Acton Community Center is the only location offering classes to the public. The rest are programs within exisiting preschool programs.

“Mommy and Me” (Ages 18 - 36 months plus parent)
Come join us for a fun, creative movement class with 'Mommy and Me'. The class will be a combination of directed activities and free exploration. We will be imagining, exploring, and discovering as we play with a parachute, dance with streamers, scarves, or rhythm instruments; and go on a Teddy Bear Picnic. This class will promote motor development, rhythmical skills, and positive self-esteems while encouraging exercise and physical fitness. This class has been developed and is under the direction of Patty Barr.

“Creative Movement With Imagination” (Ages 2-5)
In Imagimotion Kidz, we will use our imaginations with movement, music, and rhythm. Equipment such as parachutes, streamers, rhythm instruments, scarves, hoops, etc. will be used. We will be moving to songs about animals, seasonal themes, and teddy bears. This will be a fun, fast paced class of music and movement. Parent and child classes for ages 2-3 years. Preschool-Kindergarten classes for 3-5 years. Classes held at the Administration Building in Acton.

Mommy & Me Classes(Ages 18 -36 months plus parent)
Come join us for a fun, creative movement class with Mommy and Me. The class will be a combination of directed activities and free exploration. We will be imagining, exploring and discovering as we play with the parachute, dance with streamers, scarves, or rhythm instruments; and go on a Teddy Bear picnic. This class will promote motor development, rhythmical skills and positive self-esteems while encouraging exercise and physical fitness.
