Guard Up! Camps and Day Adventures La Vida provides adventure experiences in a safe environment that allows youth to expand their horizons in healthy and encouraging ways. The mission of La Vida Adventure Camp is to build character, a positive self-identity and a commitment to serve and care for others. Adventure Camp uses small groups, experiential learning, personal discovery, team-building, adventure activities and a high staff-camper ratio to foster this learning and growth. The program is a day camp with a Christian perspective based at Gordon College.
For over 36 years Gordon's LaVida program has provided adventure-based outdoor education. The goal of La Vida Adventure Camp is to build character, positive self-identity and a commitment to serve and care for others using small-group experiential learning.
Campers are encouraged to practice effective communication skills and learn responsibility, helping each other develop confidence by stepping out of their daily comfort zone.
