Guard Up! offers...
- Weekly classes: Swordsmanship and fencing for kids, teens and adults.
- Special events: Birthday parties, fundraisers, girl and boy scout events, libraries, corporate retreats and classes for home school ers. Don't just read about heroes... act like them!
- Summer Sword Day Adventures: For ages 6-15; plus new Residential Camp for ages 10+ in central MA. Stay in a medieval-style village, make armor, learn sword fighting, fight monsters and solve mysteries for 5 days/nights.
- Afterschool programs: Instructors visit public and private schools (or they come to us) for swordsmanship lessons.
- Private lessons: Learn in a one-on-one environment
- Retail sales: Fencing and padded weapon equipment
Guard Up! classes
Youth programs get bright kids 'unplugged' from computer games and TV and get them physically, mentally and socially active in a setting that appreciates their uniqueness. The environment is creative, interactive, fun and welcoming to all skill levels... from complete beginners to advanced students. View youth programs.
Adult programs are perfect for people who want to pick up a new activity... with our modern coaching methods that gently guide you through instruction and where you are encouraged to set individual goals. We expect questions and we enjoy your opinions. View adult programs.
Guard Up instructors are constantly researching and developing curriculum for courses to keep them fresh and exciting. Instructors are trained in the teaching methodology endorsed by the Positive Coaching Alliance. These methods are key to success in teaching students in a manner that improves physical performance while building self-esteem and inspiring a love for sports.
