Providence’s Bay Colony Dog Show is one of the nation’s largest American Kennel Club (AKC) dog events, and is moving to Providence after 100 years in Boston. Sponsored by Pedigree, this four-day show will be held December 3-6, 2009 at the Rhode Island Convention Center on Sabin Street in downtown Providence.
The Bay Colony Dog Show brings over 8,000 competitors and over 20,000 spectators and holiday shopping vendors all under one “woof”.
A nonprofit organization promoting responsible dog breeding and ownership, The show is managed by volunteers from three AKC purebred dog organizations: Middlesex County Kennel Club, Ladies Dog Club, and Eastern Dog Club. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; tickets are $12 adults/seniors, $7 children.
