What a 'HOOT'! Just in time for School Vacation week, the Museum invites visitors to meet and learn all about our wild neighbors and their habitats during a special Owl Festival. Enjoy live animal shows featuring guest presenters Marcia and Mark Wilson from 'Eyes On Owls' and seven types of owls including a snowy owl, Eurasian eagle owl, great horned owl, barred owl, spectacled owl, eastern screech owl and a northern saw-whet owl. Interactive activities will help expand visitors' knowledge of these beautiful birds of prey.
Dissect owl pellets and hear about the latest owl research from area scientists. Activities are ongoing through the day. Shows will take place starting promptly at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. The Owl Festival is included with Exhibit Halls admission, but free tickets are required and can be picked up in the lobby on February 19, first come, first served.
For more information, the public can visit mos.org or call 617/723-2500.
