Celebrate butterflies with a day of educational fun for all ages! Join us for the 10th Annual Barbara J. Walker Butterfly Festival at Broad Meadow Brook, a natural habitat for butterflies.

Festival Activities Include:

Naturalist-led walks & workshops
Children's activities including face painting, obstacle course, story tent, and nature-themed arts and crafts
Live caterpillar exhibit, butterfly gardening information and hummingbird station
Butterfly plant sales, including milkweed for monarchs
Butterfly Photo Booth (bring your camera!)
Delicious food
Music, vendors and much more!

Schedule of Activities

Caterpillar Lab, Mass Butterfly Club Butterfly Watch, Hummingbirds, Children’s Activities, Face Painting, Music (at pavilion), Plant Sale, Seed Bombs for Butterflies, Nature Play Area

Afternoon (Noon – 4 pm)

10:30 am Nature Walk, Shaping the Future tour
11 am Butterfly Theater (Nature Play Area)
11:30 am Nature Walk
Noon Collage Workshop (Noon-1 pm)
12:30 pm Collage Workshop, Shaping the Future tour (12:30-1 pm)
1 pm Story Time
1:30 pm Nature Walk
2 pm Butterfly Theater (Nature Play Area)
2:30 pm Nature Walk, Shaping the Future tour
3 pm Story Time

Festival-goers can join Mass Audubon that day for half price! Register online, in person at Broad Meadow Brook, or by calling 508-753-6087.
