Apple Harvest Day begins with a pancake breakfast on Saturday morning, and also features a popular apple pie baking contest, with prizes being awarded to the top five entrants in two age groups: adults 15 and older; and children ages 5 to 14. With vendors lining the streets of the downtown area, the event is also highlighted by a series of musical, dance and theatrical performances for all ages, carnival games and rides, raffles, a traveling barnyard, and pony rides.
Having just celebrated its 25th Anniversary, the festival features a 5K Road Race through the downtown area, a Songwriter’s Stage with original music performed by local artists, a Green Marketplace and a Healthy Living Expo.
Parking is available at the Chestnut Street lot (train station), the Dover Public Library lot, and Care Pharmacy lot. Trolleys will run from these lots to the head of Henry Law Park. Trolley runs start at 8:30 am and end at 4:30 pm.
