Puppets can bring junk back to life! Learn the basics of puppet construction with the Puppet Showplace Theatre's Artist-in-Residence Brad Shur. Participants will begin by learning what a puppet is and some of the basic skills of puppet construction. Then, everyone will create their own puppet using recycled materials.
We'll have plenty of recycled materials on hand but participants are encouraged to bring their own (Ideas: water bottles, paper towel tubes etc).
Once the puppets are complete, we’ll get a crash course in making them come to life with voice, movement and story-telling techniques. (Ages 5 and up).
