The Umbrella Community Arts Center invites families for an afternoon of arts during its April Free Drop-in Family Day on Monday, April 20.

This month’s project is inspired by the Cherry Blossom Festivals held across Japan each spring.

Participants will create their own cherry blossom watercolor paintings, using brushes and straws to create their artwork. The project is intended to take 30 to 60 minutes to complete, and designed for all ages to enjoy.

Families can drop in any time from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

Each Free Drop-in Family Day ends at 5:00 PM.

The program is generously supported by grants from the Acton-Boxborough, Bedford, Carlisle, Concord, Littleton, and Wayland Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, and generously sponsored by Middlesex Savings Bank.

The Umbrella is located at 40 Stow Street in Concord, Massachusetts.
