If you were a girl growing up in the 18th century, you would have had long lessons in embroidery and fine needlework. Though sophisticated needlework itself was considered an important part of their education, girls were also taught letters, numbers and important texts through embroidery. Visit our tailor and needlework specialist who will demonstrate the intricate art and invite visitors to try it out for themselves.
