Day 1: March 14 - Bringing Art to Life
Session A: 12:30 - 2:30 pm or Session B: 3 - 5 pm
Newton Cultural Center, 225 Nevada Street, Newtonville, MA 02460
An interactive slide show introduces children to great French and American paintings from the MFA, Boston. Hands-on art activities follow, inspired by the works they have just seen.
Day 2: March 21 - Art 'Face-to-Face'
Session A: 12:30 - 2 pm or Session B: 2:30 - 4 pm
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Fenway Entrance
In this guided tour, children build on the observations of the works they have just learned about. The program ends with sketching in the museum.
