Historical Talk and Art Show Closing
at The Old Schwamb Mill

Saturday, June 7, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., ' Kirchmayer and Community: An Artisan of Crescent Hill, Arlington' presented by Doreen Stevens.

The talk is third in a five part lecture series celebrating the 150th anniversary of the purchase of the mill by brothers Charles and Frederick Schwamb in 1864.

The talk will be followed from 2:30-4:30 p.m. by the closing reception for “Greek Idylls” artwork by students of Arlington artist Adria Arch, inspired by a recent trip to Greece.

Featured artists include: Laurie Archonsky, Liz Bell, Diana Bourgeois, Carole Dallaire, Angele Desjardins, Margaret Furlong, Anne Goodwin, Karen Molloy and Karen Wihbey.

Refreshments served.

Donations welcome.
The Old Schwamb Mill is an 1864 oval and circular picture frame factory and now a living history industrial museum listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Open Tuesdays and Saturdays, 11a.m.-3 p.m. for guided tours that include a demonstration of the fame-making process; viewing of the spring art show in the second floor gallery; and purchase of the Mill’s hand-turned museum-quality frames.

Shopping is available at the Shaker Workshops store in the Mill’s 18th century barn: furniture, lamps, rugs, and unique gift items.

Mon-Sat 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Mill members receive a 10% discount.
