The Trustees introduce a rare opportunity to experience and enjoy community gardens at the peak of their colorful bounty, where nature lover and amateur artist ignite their senses inspired by these urban oases.

In this drawing class, focus on basics of color theory and application and the elements of botanical illustration in colored pencil.

Learn to mix and blend colors and use the pencils to create tone and hue.

Each session is held in the “outdoor classroom” of the South End’s beautiful Community Gardens, and covers a variety of techniques while focusing on the flora and fruit of the season.

All drawing levels are welcome, materials included, sign up for a single class or multiple sessions and build upon skills from previous classes.
