A special preview is planned on August 4th from 5:00 to 8:00 during Downtown Lowell First Thursdays and an opening reception is scheduled on August 7th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

Full Press Release is available at http://thebrush.org/PDFgallery.htm.

Water: that transparent fluid that falls from the sky and makes up our streams, lakes and oceans and covers 71% of the earth’s surface.

It is an essential component for all life forms on earth and plays a significant role in our lives every day, providing us with drinking and cooking water, agricultural irrigation and water to wash ourselves and clothing.

Jurors: Diane Wright and Kate Themel

Curators: Sue Bleiweiss, Nancy Turbitt

Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) is a world-wide resource for information on the art quilt and the artists who create them.

In addition to mounting museum-quality exhibitions that travel the world, SAQA documents the art quilt movement through exhibition catalogs and the continuing series of Portfolios, the art quilt sourcebook.
