Cape Ann Improv is a North Shore-based improv group dedicated to bringing the art of improvisational comedy to the community.

They believe improv is for everyone, and there’s nothing better than unleashing ideas, musings, characters, voices and quirks on stage in a safe environment.

Cape Ann Improv wants to bring the joy of improv to anyone willing to join in laughter, risk-taking, and affirmation.

CAI has taught improvisation workshops with teens at the Salem YMCA, the Annie Theater in Gloucester, Burr and Burton Academy in Manchester, VT, and Sapient Boston.

They have performed at the Theater of Worlds and Music in Salem, the Trashfinder’s Ball in Beverly, for youth groups in Ocean City, NJ, at PoetryFest 2013 in Salem, and at Peabody Veteran’s Memorial High School, Endicott College, Gordon College, The Castle Board Game Café, The Hive, and many fine venues.

Their members and alumni can be seen performing with The 5th Wall in Beverly, Instant Bingo in Doylestown, PA, at Improv Boston, and in short films, readings, sketches and stage-acts all around America.
