Barefoot Arts is dance and drama uniquely enhanced by music. When young people are encouraged to enjoy the excitement of movement, dance becomes a more powerful experience. Drama is also an empowering art that promotes growth and qualities like trust, communication, and confidence.

Class Information:
Designed and taught by children’s dance and drama specialist, Susan Paino, classes and programs are offered in Wakefield, MA, as well as in other varying locations such as public libraries, schools, and theatres. Popular classes for ages 2.5 to 7 years include:

DANCEPLAY
This introduction to dance focuses on moving to music and allows for creative fun. Students participate in warm-up exercises to develop their coordination and concentration, as well as movement games and dancing with musical instruments, props, and costumes.

CREATIVE DANCE THEATRE
Kids who love music, dancing, singing, and being on stage love this class. Students have the opportunity to develop self-expression and confidence, gain success in working cooperatively with their peers, and become enthusiastic performers. Creative dance and drama accompanied by a wide array of music is a focal point of the class.

MINI-MUSICALS
This lively program is perfect for children who are eager to perform. Students work together towards a simple production of original stories, songs, and dances. The three week session ends with a free performance for parents and friends.

Barefoot Arts Birthday Parties:
Unique events for children who love being onstage, all parties are led by children’s dance and drama specialist, Susan Paino, who engages everyone in dance and drama activities during the first half of each party. The celebration continues with birthday cake and time for gift giving and ends with a finale featuring the birthday child.

Creative Dance Theatre Party

-Limited to 15 guests (Larger parties can sometimes be accommodated.)
-Includes paper products and clean-up. (You supply all refreshments.)
-Gift for birthday child included.
