All across the United States, poetry slams and jams have been heating up schools, theaters, and even the White House! Come learn how to use the body, the mind, and the mouth simultaneously for poetic expression with Regie O’Hare Gibson, former National Poetry Slam Champion and featured artist on HBO’s Def Poetry Jam.
You will explore the music and movement of words, write short original poems, work with familiar ones and even perform with live musicians. Dress comfortably and be prepared to have loads of fun while learning. This class is for 5th - 8th graders.
