Bright Lights for Winter Nights UnveilingCelebrate winter in the city!

Come to the Greenway Tuesday, December 21 from 4-7 PM for the unveiling of Bright Lights for Winter Nights, a three month public art and lighting display, with free music and activities for all ages. Each Greenway park will have something special to do or see, so bundle up, bring your loved ones and friends, and explore Boston by moonlight.

North End Parks – family & community
4:00 - 4:30PM Bell ringing by students from NEMPAC
4:00 - 6:00PM Stir a Memory food memory project
4:30PM Lighting of the Elm tree
4:30 - 6:00PM Trotter Institute presents teen dance group, Thee Slap Bracelets
Luminaria making
Pergola alight with solar LED lights
Winter solstice lesson with Green and Grow apprentices
Snowman making (if snow)

Wharf District Parks – color & surprise
5:00 - 6:00PM Performance by Victorian Carolers
Four winter themed ice sculptures by Images in Ice
DJ Mac Maching and dancing, presented by Hub Media
Curling lanes for fun and for sport

Modern Dance, sculpture unveiling by Jacob Kulin

Ft. Point Channel Parks – quiet innovation

Concert featuring Boston Music Awards winner Kingsley Flood and Emperor Norton’s Stationary Marching Band, presented by Hub Media

Chinatown Park – light & sound

4:30 - 5:30PM Interactive drumming performace by The Genki Spark
Participatory art projection - draw your own graffiti
Colorful LED lights, plus banners by Josiah Quincy Elementary 4th-6th graders
Luminaria making
