Puppet Town (Grades 1-4)
Set your child on the path to becoming the next Jim Henson! In this camp students will create their own hand and rod 'muppet style' puppet then learn improvisation skills to create a show with their new alter egos. Students will learn how to construct the puppets then how to express emotion with and find voices and characters for their creations. The result is a one of a kind show that features the students' talents in multiple ways, the art of puppet making, the art of puppeteering, the art of developing a story and the art of improvisation. This is a really fun process that engages students on many levels and introduces them to many new skills in one week. No previous performance experience necessary. Limited to 20 students.

So you're funny - now what? ImprovBoston gives you the answers. Over the course of this class we will cover the basic forms of performance comedy - sketch writing (like SNL), improvisation (like Who's Line Is Is Anyway?) and stand-up (like Dane Cook). Then we'll weave it all together into a show set up like your favorite fake news program (like the Daily Show). You'll learn about writing, delivery, character work and most of all how to get those great ideas out of your head and turn them into a show. Session ends with a show for family and friends. No previous performance experience necessary. Limited to 15 students.
