These are fundamental writing skills for all persuasive essay writing. Week two (July 9th) focuses on Argument, guiding students in the integration of argument into the essay form. Finally, week 3 (July 17th) wraps up with concentration on thesis.
Theses are the most difficult to write, and students who wish to do well in high school writing should practice them often.
The camp takes advantage of the assets of the beautiful Peabody Essex Museum -- students use the collections for prompts and inspiration.
