Pregnancy 101: Isis Maternity’s Brookline center is offering this comprehensive class on pregnancy on Monday, Sept. 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Whether you're trying to conceive or the test is already positive, this class will provide an overview of the anatomy and physiology of fetal development - everything that's going on inside your belly. We will help you choose an obstetrician/nurse midwife and prepare you for what to expect during your prenatal visits including prenatal testing and procedures. We will discuss prenatal health and nutritional needs with special attention to diet, weight management, heartburn, nausea, vomiting and constipation. We will cover bedrest and the facts and myths regarding miscarriage and environmental toxins. We will also discuss sexuality during pregnancy. Checklists and information about additional resources available to expecting parents will also be provided. Taught by a Certified Nurse Midwife and childbirth educator.
