About the Instructor
Lisa Heckel has been a Registered Nurse for 15 years. Her belief in integrated medicine led her to become a Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Master / Teacher, and to pursue her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at The New England School of Acupuncture. Lisa is the proud Mother of a beautiful baby girl. She is the owner of Healing Arts for Every Body, and she was chosen to be an instructor at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy before her relocation to Massachusetts. Lisa is also a Content Editor for Elsevier and McGraw-Hill, two major medical book companies.

Lisa’s holistic education in and out of the classroom has afforded her a solid understanding of the inner workings of the human body. She takes this knowledge to feed her passion for people and improving their lives through nurturing touch, and uses it to instruct and facilitate workshops that focus on the expectant parents and infants.

She has developed a unique teaching style that combines lecture, demonstration and supervised practice to reach all learning styles. Lisa believes that balancing the many activities of daily life with time to focus on you is one of the most important steps to a healthier lifestyle.
