Marblehead Rec will host a Shakespeare Master Class for middle and high school students, run by professional actors, including MHS 2001 graduate Darcy Fowler. The program, at the Marblehead Community Center, will help students discover the works of the Bard through theater exercises, improv, and language.

Through theater exercises and improvisations, students will learn to speak Shakespeare’s language in a spontaneous, natural manner, and discover how Shakespeare’s themes link to their everyday lives and to the world today.

Act3 Education members Darcy Fowler, James Smith and Heather Robb hold degrees in theater and are working actors in New York. Fowler is an actor and playwright in NYC and has tuaght and dcirected the Rebel Shakespeare Company. Smith is an actor and musician in NYC. He has worked as a teaching assistant with the People’s Light and Theatre Company and Summer Stage in PA. Robb is an actor and musician in NYC and teaches at the Young Actors Program in Syracuse..
