Boat Building Demonstration
Tuesday, April 17 - Saturday, April 21, 2007 | 11 am - 4 pm
Join third-generation boat-builder and owner of F.J. Dion Yachtyards, Fred Atkins, and his crew as they spend the week building a classic wooden boat – a Dion dory- in the museum’s breathtaking and nautically-inspired Atrium. Follow the building throughout the week and learn the secrets to traditional wooden boat building with hands-on demonstrations of traditional boat building tools.
