Come experience a child's Colonial Life as part of Wenham Museum's Family Fun Day Summer Series. Colonial children played more games and had fewer toys that today's children and they did more chores too! Dress in period costume and play Colonial games like: ball and cup, marbles and wooden hoops--later do Colonial children's chores like churning butter and dipping candles.

Driving:
From points south: Take Route 128 north to exit 20-A (Route 1A - Hamilton). Follow Route 1A north for 2.3 miles. The Museum is on the right before the Wenham Town Hall.
From points north: Take Route 95 South to Route 128 North. Then follow the directions as above.

Public Transportation:
B&M Commuter Rail to Hamilton-Wenham; 15-minute scenic walk south from the depot on Route 1A.

  • The Wenham Museum is a family-friendly museum of social history exploring how we have lived, worked, dressed, and played from the 17th century to today. The museum features the Claflin-Richard House c.1690, a world-renowned doll collection, dollhouses, costumes and textiles, model trains, toys, historic photographs, the interactive Family Discovery Gallery as well as special exhibits. The Museum is located at 132 Main Street in Wenham, MA, (978) 468-2377, www.wenhammuseum.org.

  • Hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for seniors, and $4.50 for children ages 2-16.
