Foil – for ages 11 thru Adults including ‘teens. This Fencing “weapon” is the classical starter tool, from which later one can branch off to Sabre or Epee – which are both introduced in the later stages of these courses.

Discipline is rigorous, but the atmosphere is fun! Technique is stressed with martinet precision, at least at the crucial beginning. It is hard, but the rewards, ah, the rewards!!!

Equipment – the SaEF Clubs’ Foil students have access to equipment owned by the Club at a lease or rent cost. It will soon become evident that ownership is better, since purchased equipment will tend to be of better quality, and personalized. SabreK students will need their own (two sets per household).

Foil:
Set consists of weapon, mask, jacket, glove, neck protector, and chest protector for ladies; purchase ranges between $180-220, depending on quality, age, and gender. We WILL buy back old equipment if still usable.

Lease with take-home is $60 per ~8 weeks.

Rent (without take-home) is $3 per meeting.

SabreK:
Set consists of weapon and mask, at $80. Each household needs two – one for the child, the other for the home-trainer.
