The HeartSaver CPR certification course is specifically designed for the lay responder seeking to be prepared in the case that something traumatic were to happen. This American Heart Association course is designed to meet the needs of the student and/or their organization.

Target Audience
Emergency response teams in businesses and industries
• School bus drivers
• Adult residential care personnel
• Child care workers
• Teachers
• Parents and babysitters

Course Length
Certification with Infant: 3 1/2 hours
Certification without Infant: 2 1/2 hours

Adult/Child
• Basic CPR concepts [Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Defibrillation]
• Chest Compressions
• Manikin Practice
• Special Situations
• Adult/Child CPR
• Emergency Call
• Breaths with a mask
• AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use
• Special AED Situations and Safety
• Advanced Airway with 2-rescuer CPR
• Adult/Child Choking

Infant
• Basic CPR concepts [Airway, Breathing, Circulation]
• Chest Compressions and Breathing
• Breaths with a mask
• Manikin Practice
• Special Airway Situations
• Infant Choking
