Cynthia Levine, an education consultant and assistive technology specialist from the Shriver Clinical Services Corp, will speak about assistive technology to help kids with special needs integrate into inclusive classrooms. She’ll discuss types of AT & how educators can effectively implement AT to the benefit of all learners. Light refreshments served

All TEACHERS attending may get PDPs (Professional Development Points).
All ATTENDEES may receive a Certificate of Attendance.

PRESENTER’S BIO: Cynthia Levine, M.S., Ed.S., has worked as an Inclusion Consultant with Shriver Clinical Services Corporation since 1997. Her focus continues to be to support students with special needs, and to provide assistance to educators in implementing assistive technologies. Cynthia believes that effective inclusion is an opportunity for all learners in diverse classrooms to get a better education.

Cynthia has worked to implement and support inclusion in a number of states including Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. An education consultant, she conducts Functional Behavioral Assessments and develops and implements behavior plans utilizing Positive Behavioral Supports in inclusive environments.

Currently, Cynthia serves on the board of TASH New England, the Statewide Quality Council with the Department of Developmental Services, and the Governor’s Commission on Mental Retardation. She is a recent past board member of the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress, and has been an adjunct professor at Fitchburg State College and Lesley University where she taught courses on inclusion.
