Parenting Expert Pam Hardy to Offer The Biggest Job Workshop in Manchester, MA
Parents, educators, and professionals interested in learning ways to address the myriad challenges adults face in raising children and essential skills that can support and guide them in their efforts will have the opportunity when parenting expert Pam Hardy, presents The Biggest Job Workshop on Wednesday, April 14th, from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Manchester Essex Regional High School, 36 Lincoln Street, Manchester, MA 01944.
The interactive workshop, praised for its high-energy, compelling, and often humorous approach, will focus on 10 Priorities outlined in the book, The Biggest Job We’ll Ever Have: The Hyde School Program For Character-based Education and Parenting (Scribner), written by parenting and education experts Laura and Malcolm Gauld.
Hardy is the director of The Biggest Job workshops, an offshoot of the Gauld’s book and Hyde Schools, a network of public and private schools, whose pioneering philosophy has been profiled on 60 Minutes, 20/20, Today, PBS and NPR. She draws on more than a decade of experience as a parent coach to offer an upbeat, interactive workshop providing invaluable information on issues affecting families and the critical roles of adults relative to those issues.
The workshop is focused on how to raise and teach children effectively. Its messages are straightforward: the way adults live their lives must be consistent with the way they raise and teach children; principles are the most powerful force in influencing children in a positive way; and parents need to focus on personal growth to allow their best parenting instincts to emerge. Participants learn specific ways to strengthen child-adult bonds and family relationships, to inspire children to fulfill their highest potential, and how focusing on attitude over aptitude, truth over harmony, and principles over rules can lead to success in efforts to positively influence children and teenagers.
