Dance Prism’s ”The Nutcracker” is a widely acclaimed, fully executed ballet production, which is performed by a cast of professional and aspiring dancers who join the production from six states.
The well-known music of Tchaikovsky and lively choreography take the audience on a magical journey with Clara and her Nutcracker Prince as they travel through the Land of Sweets.
The ballet features colorful costumes and scenery that includes a miraculous Christmas tree that grows before your eyes, a sleigh drawn by white reindeer and of course falling snow.
Young audience members are invited to meet Clara and the Nutcracker Prince following the performance.
Dance Prism is New England’s Premier Touring Ballet Company celebrating its 32nd season.
Dance Prism has performed widely throughout New England since it was founded in 1982.
Dance Prism’s goal is to bring affordable, full spectrum ballet into the communities of New England.

Dance Prism offers special programs to meet the needs of Scouts of all ages as well as other community groups.
Programs can be arranged for a pre-show informational talk tailored to fulfill badge requirements, the opportunity to meet the dancers, and backstage tours for appropriate age levels.
A Nutcracker Special Program can include a complementary Dance Prism Nutcracker patch for attendance.

Lecture Demonstrations and Workshops: When not involved in the fully mounted theatre performances, Dance Prism Company members tour New England offering Lecture-Demonstrations and Dance-related Workshops to private and public schools, libraries and retirement communities.
