AIRplay..The Wonders of Wind and Inflatable Art lets you experiment with air, fog, and mist, AND create pieces of art. Does air take up space? What is wind? Does Wind move things? Air can do some amazing and powerful things, not the least of which is spark curiosity and creativity. Come experiment with air and wind; inspire and create wonderful, whimsical pieces of art from whirligigs to windsocks to kites; and play in an inflatable wonderland.
The exhibit has 3 sections:
Wind Lab consists of tables that have vertical and horizontal wind sources and bins of materials that allow children to design their own experiments on how wind moves objects.
Wind Art Studios is a workshop space where artists educators weave science inquiry into the experience of art. The workshops are held daily from 1pm -3pm and are appropriate for ages 4 and up with an adult.
Inflatable Wonderland designed by Jon Goldman, is an inflatable playground which will not only be fun, but kids can see and feel air in action!
