Don't miss this popular outdoor family event! Sheepshearing Festival is a tradition with many local familes. Attractions include: demonstrations of sheep shearing, herding dogs, spinning and weaving and a crafts fair with more than 60 crafters. In addition, there will be live music, traditional English dancing, an historic military encampment, traditional crafts and more. For a small additional charge, visitors may take a ground-floor tour of the mansion and a wagon ride.

Gore Place is located at 52 Gore Street in Waltham, Massachusetts just off Route 20. From I-90 (Mass Pike) take exit 17 to Watertown Square. Turn left onto Route 20 (Main Street). Travel 1~1/4 miles to Gore Street. From Route 128/I-95 exit 26 to Route 20 east (Main Street) 3~1/2 miles to Gore Street.

22nd Annual Sheep-shearing Festival At Gore Place, Mon 27 Apr 2009
We went to the 2009 festival with our 2-year old and had a great time. We definitely plan on going back each year. Get there when it opens for free parking - it seemed to fill up fast.
