The Medford Arts Center, Inc. (MACI) extends a warm and welcoming invitation to all of Medford and surrounding communities to attend and enjoy day-long festivities at MACI’s Fourth Annual Medford Arts Festival. The festival will take place on September 13, 2008 at Riverside Avenue & River Street in Medford Square from 11 AM to 5 PM.

The arts festival will feature over 30 participants: Talented and amazing artisans, musicians, performers and area restaurants. There will be extended children’s activities to include tie-dying of t-shirts; bring your own t-shirt to recycle $3.00 to tie-dye, or buy a t-shirt at the festival -$5.00 to tie-dye. Also, featured will be sidewalk chalk art and face drawing.

Performers are: R&B singer, Jacquie Whitaker, Al Peterson and his band, Deltabilly with Jeremy Lyons, all-female quartet, Porch Party Mamas, Sonicrush, and acclaimed singer songwriter Thea Hopkins. Also, “24 Hours”, a local band of Medford youths will play their brand of classic rock for the vendors during set up.

Participating food vendors are Caffé Baccini of South Medford, Dave & Jerry’s Italian Ices, LaBella Fine Foods of West Medford, Oliver Deli and Tom Yum Koong of Medford Square. What an appetizing list of food purveyors! • There will be Raffles and Prizes donated by generous supporters of the Arts! Century Bank of Medford will be on hand giving away free ice cream! Our promotional poster was designed by 2 Medford youths, Iain Wright and C.J. Carr; what a phenomenal job they did! Look for the fantastic Poster all around town.
