For over 20 years, the fair has featured three tables of costume, high end and bling jewelry; attic treasures including a vintage sled and camera; gift baskets; souvenirs from around the world; household bar; crystal and glassware; children's toys and holiday decorations. The event will showcase three tables with quilts for cribs and beds; decorative quilted wall hangings; hand-quilted and sewn doll clothes including American Doll; hostess gifts aprons; pot holders; casserole carriers; holiday tags and ornaments.
The Sweets and Treats tables feature cakes, cookies, relishes, fudge, candies and home-baked breads. The cafe will serve breakfast goodies like scones, croissants, yogurt and fruit. They will focus on catering to a large variety food types that include vegetarian and gluten-free. In addition, they will offer Dunkin Donuts coffee (regular and caffeine free), regular and flavor teas, soda and water. Desserts will be offered.
Members of the group are retired women who want to raise funds for the future leaders who are graduating from the Concord-Carlisle High School. Current members of the United Woman's Club of Concord are in their late 70s, 80s and 90s. The next fundraising event will be the annual scholarship fair on Dec. 3 at the Harvey Wheeler Community Center. For information: 617-327-8159; [email protected].
