The 35th Annual Sheep Shearing Festival in North Andover includes spinning and herding demonstrations, food, crafts, pony rides and a plant sale. Free parking. Presented by North Andover Festival Committee; at North Andover Middle School
Flag-placing on local graves, 11 a.m. with local veterans, Boy and Girl Scouts, and interested citizens. Meet at the parking lot between Town Offices and The Park, Andover. Rain-date is May 27. For information, call 978-623-8218.
Afternoon tours of Parson Barnard House, noon to 4 p.m. in North Andover. Features tour of the house by costumed interpreters, demonstrations of spinning and weaving and associated 'wool-related' children's activities. Cost $3 for adults; children and members are free.
